Treatment indicated to treat reflux esophagitis, acid peptic disease, duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, infections caused by Helicobacter pylori bacteria. It works by decreasing the amount of acid secreted by the stomach, thus preventing heartburn and acid regurgitation.
